COLD Weather Gear

Hey all,

Gordon recommended we start a monthly blog on such things as training or repairing your bike.  We’ll start off with one appropriate for this time of year: COLD Weather Gear.

This is a good time of year to post a clothing chart the Spacecoast Freewheelers recently e-mailed out.  This chart is very useful to plan out your winter gear for a cold ride.  It’s very tricky to get the layering just right, especially for mornings where it warms up or nights where it cools down.  Too little insulation can make for a not-so-fun ride.  Too much insulation and you can get hot, sweat, and then find yourself freezing again.  This chart isn’t perfect (sunscreen isn’t really temperature dependent), but is pretty close.  Just adjust for your personal preferences.  I hope this chart comes in handy for you.  Thank you Spacecoast Freewheelers!
